{"id":299,"date":"2026-04-23T15:19:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T15:19:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sarashay.com\/?p=299"},"modified":"2026-04-24T00:06:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T00:06:29","slug":"a-slight-change-of-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sarashay.com\/?p=299","title":{"rendered":"A Slight Change of Course"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I started out 2026 with three intentions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Draw at least 100 flowers for <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderbink.com\/10kflowers\">The Ten Thousand Flowers Project<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>Perform a stand-up comedy routine in an actual comedy club,<\/li>\n<li>Revise <i>Christophina&#8217;s Garden<\/i> into publishable shape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s four months into the year, and I&#8217;m way behind on flowers, but I do have an open mike performance scheduled on May 18th at Laughing Skull Lounge. As for <em>Garden<\/em>, well&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\nI started the year with the first book of the trilogy, <em>Christophina&#8217;s Wings<\/em>, out in the world for purchase. Then, <a href=\"https:\/\/sarashay.com\/?p=269\">as I&#8217;ve mentioned here<\/a>, I pulled it back after two sales to revise it into a better book, and refine the entire trilogy at once.\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I still had the Post-it note staring at me that had the word <em>Garden<\/em> in large and underlined letters.
