You can call me Sara Shay. For some strange reason, I pronounce it SAHR-uh and not SEHR-uh.
Is that your real name?
Well, all names become real when you answer to them. At any rate, to address your question, this is a pen name. It comes from an internet handle that I’ve been using for decades, a sort of blurring of my middle and last names.
What is this site about?
This site in particular is focused on the books I plan to release through Moalaia Press. Many of them will be romances of one kind or another, most of them set in a shared world called the Juneiverse. The first book scheduled to come out is a science-fiction romance called Christophina’s Wings.
How soon will the first book be coming out?
I’m shooting for the end of 2025, but some things have to be sorted out before I can set a definite release date. The moment I have it, I’ll be telling the world. You can follow me on Bluesky and Mastodon for the latest news.
Wait, why are you called Wonderbink there?
Wonderbink is another name I’ve used on the internet for a very long time. I have a whole darn website under that name: Wonderbink.com. I use that for The Ten Thousand Flowers Project and some thoughts on how to live richly without necessarily being a rich person monetarily. It needs updating. I tend to compartmentalize things a lot.
What does Moalaia mean?
In an imaginary language that lives only in my head, it means “wisdom.”
